Ten-year-old Megan Kate Davenport was crowned Preteen Fairest of the Fair in the annual pageant held Friday night kicking off the Warren County A&L Fair. She was chosen from a field of 30 young ladies, each gracing the stage with their presence.
Davenport is a sixth-grader at Warren County Middle School, and is the daughter of Matthew Davenport and Tennille Davenport. Her onstage question had to do with her favorite song, and continued to inquire if she would sing it.
“I love Carrie Underwood,” said Davenport. “Her songs have good lyrics, and my favorite is ‘Blown Away,” and no I cannot sing it.”
Others in the court include Katherine Grace Sparkman, first runner-up, daughter of Josh and Katherine Sparkman; Araya La’Nae Buchanan, second runner-up, daughter of Orlando and Leslie Buchanan; and Shayla Raine Crawford, third runner-up; daughter of Justin Crawford and Brandi Gipson.
The judges chose a Top 12 list to return to the stage and answer a question. In addition to the court, they follow:
