The 11th annual “Hark at the Park! A Harvey Family Christmas” will be held at Park Theater on Friday, Dec. 20. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

The festive event helps support the work of both Hamilton Street Activity Center and Magness Library.

“We had a sold-out show last year and we’re expecting a sell out this year so get your tickets now,” said organizer Steve Harvey. “At Hamilton Street, the proceeds will go into the overall operation of the facility for when the kids go on trips, special activities and afternoon snacks after school.”

The old-timey variety show features local talent, including many members of the Harvey family. Some entertainers, who now perform nationally, return home to Warren County just for this concert. They are joined by local performers like Gene Maxwell and his band and Chuck Jones along with children from the Hamilton Street Activity Center.

Over the years, “Hark at the Park” has grown from a small, family event into today’s concert which fills the Park Theater to capacity. Due to its increase in crowd size, organizers say it is no longer practical to offer dinner before the show.

Instead, this year, “Hark at the Park” is introducing a new pre-show menu. Punch and hot cider will be served in the foyer from 6 p.m. until the concert begins at 7 p.m. Additionally, fresh popcorn will be free at the concession stand.

“The library is grateful to once again partner with the Harveys on this wonderful event,” said library director Brad Walker. “It’s a tremendous boon for our community and Hamilton Street. Personally, it brings me great joy to see people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the holiday season while benefiting our shared community.”

Tickets are $20 each and are on sale at Magness Library, 118 W. Main Street, or online for $22.85 at www.eventbrite.com. Call 473-2428 for more information.
