The Collins River Golf Course will be the location for the second annual golf tournament benefiting the McMinnville-Warren County Senior Center.
The tournament will be held Sept. 27, and teams are being sought to participate in the event. The center is a nonprofit organization offering daily services to our senior citizens, including, but not limited to, activities, exercise, arts, crafts, trips, music, health screenings, homemaker aide services and more.
“We are hoping to get a lot of teams to sign-up,” said center director Cheryl Mingle. “It’s certainly for a worthy cause, our local senior center.”
A two-person scramble is set for $175 per team, which includes 18 holes, a cart, goodie bag and lunch. Individuals can register for $75 each. Activities start at 8 a.m., with lunch served at noon.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place; and mulligans and red tees are available for purchase.
Registration forms are available at the Senior Center at 809 Morrison Street, and at Collins River Golf Course. Registration should be complete by Sept. 24. Mingle can be reached by calling 473-6559.
