Fiber in the Boro, Murfreesboro’s biggest fiber festival, will be held Oct. 22 at the UT-TSU Rutherford County Extension, Lane Agri-Park Complex.
The Saturday will be a full festival day from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with vendors, knitting, spinning, classes and more. Food trucks will also be onsite to enjoy both food and fiber.
A market will feature more than 60 vendors. Craft artists will demonstrate card fiber, spinning and weaving and children’s activities are planned throughout the day. Festival admission is free. Classes have a fee, with schedule and registration available at www.fiberintheboro.com.
Lane Agri-Park is located at 315 John R. Rice Blvd., an easy exit off I-24. The festival replaces the fiber corner traditionally found at Cannonburgh’s Harvest Days, continuing the longstanding tradition in a new location.
