Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT) announces the summer 2016 Emerging Artists Production, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Exploding on stage in a crash of drums and a flash of light, the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life through catchy songs and a colorful ensemble of young talent in this Tony-award winning musical.
After passing an audition, students in grades 8-12 were cast in the show and will perform a fully staged production as the culmination of the Emerging Artists summer drama camp.
“Music director Shawn Knight and choreographer Rona Carter are among Nashville’s top acting talent, and are also two of the smartest and kindest teaching artists we employ at the Nashville Children’s Theatre,” said Alicia Fuss, NCT Director of Education. “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat mimics our professional production process and provides a supportive, high-quality learning experience. Our students learn and grow while working with the best artists in Nashville."
Performance dates are: Friday, July 29 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, July 31 at 2 p.m.
