Covenant Father Daughter Dance set for April 2

Covenant Academy will be providing fathers a chance to show gratitude toward the sunshine in their lives on Saturday, April 2. Covenant’s Father Daughter Dance is from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Bridgestone Learning Center.

Event organizers selected the theme of “You are My Sunshine.” The dance was cancelled in 2021, but it traditionally attracts more than 200 participants.

“This year’s theme ties together why we have the event,” said Wendy Kell, event organizer. “Daughters usually are the sunshine in their daddy’s eyes. Sometimes that light also shines just as brightly for granddaughters, nieces, etc.”

Decorations will fit the theme: sunflowers, lemons, bright and cheerful.

Offered during the event will be appetizers and a party food style buffet as opposed to a sit-down meal. Kell says that change will allow more time for what’s important to the girls, dancing.

Pictures at 5:30 p.m. are included with cost of admission. Digital downloads only.

Each girl will receive a gift at the end of the night that coincides with the theme. Guests are asked to arrive by 6 p.m.

Tickets, which are $30 per attendee, can be purchased at Covenant Academy this Monday, March 21, or by email at administration@covenantacademylions.com.
