WCHS will be holding a College Night from 5-7 p.m. at the high school. There will be over 30 vendors attending and representing a number of colleges and universities throughout the region. Financial aid information will be available, along with representatives from the military. Students and parents are encouraged to attend.

A fall festival will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Locust Street Church of God with free inflatables, food, candy and entertainment.

Hope Center of Warren County will hold an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. It is located in the annex building of First Presbyterian Church downtown.
SATURDAY, OCT. 29
Dayspring Church at 4295 Smithville Highway will hold a trunk or treat and harvest festival from 2 to 5:30 p.m. with candy, food, games and a petting zoo.
Shady Grove CIC will hold a country ham breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Adults eat for $6 and children 6 and under eat for $3. Proceeds go to center upkeep.
The Blue Springs school reunion will be held at Blue Springs CIC at 11 a.m. Bring finger food for noon lunch. For information, call 931-273-2327.
Applefest will be held at Boyd Christian School in Westwood with food, games, prizes and silent auction from noon to 5 p.m., then trunk or treat at 5 p.m. and bonfire, dinner and hayride at 6 p.m. Bands are available for $20 for unlimited games and inflatables and $10 for bonfire, dinner and hayride, or get both for $25.
Warren County High School will have its Inaugural Community Day Craft Fair and Flea Market on Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the WCHS student parking lot. Come out and see a variety of vendors with crafts, handmade items, women’s and children’s clothing, jewelry, food, and yard sale/flea market items, as well as entertainment. Many items being sold were made by students. There will also be a bounce house and face painting. Admission is free and all proceeds benefit WCHS students.

The Cedar Grove Fire Department’s Haunted Trail will be offered every Friday and Saturday night in October. A fundraiser for the department, the thrills begin at dark and continue until 11 p.m. The Haunted Trail is located at 1876 Bone Cave Mountain Road in Rock Island. A gospel singing will be held Oct. 30 at Bethel Hill Baptist Church at 1137 West Green Hill Road with the Pelham Family. Potluck lunch at noon and singing will begin at 1 p.m.

McMinnville Noon Exchange is holding its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., Nov. 5. Tickets are $5 and available from Exchange Club members, at Security Federal, or at the door.
Cruisin’ for a Cure will hold its annual St. Jude Ride on Nov. 5. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. at Three Star Mall in the parking lot in front of Roses. The event is open to all motorcycles and antique cars. A $10 donation per entry is requested and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude.
