Covenant Academy is creating jolly Christmas memories for children in the community by holding its second annual Breakfast with Santa.
The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, in the school gym from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Food and crafts are available to the public for $20 per ticket. All proceeds go to the school.
Along with breakfast, children will have the opportunity to visit several different activity stations, such as making reindeer food, designing crafts, decorating cookies with Mrs. Claus and writing letters to Santa.
“I wanted to offer a Christmas experience similar to the one I shared with my own children when they were younger,” says Covenant Academy’s events coordinator Tina Lassiter.
The gymnasium will be turned into a North Pole-inspired winter wonderland with lights, decorations and helpers dressed as elves. A hot coco station will be set up and a wide variety of scrumptious breakfast foods will be served to guests. Santa will be on site to visit with each child and take photos.
“The event is held as a Christmas experience for the children and as a fundraiser for the school,” says Lassiter.
Tickets are available at the school or by visiting Covenant Academy’s Facebook page and must be purchased by Friday, Dec. 6.
