Boyd students honored
Four Boyd Christian School students have received recognition for their dedication and hard work. Garrick McGee, back row from left, is an alternate to the Tennessee Governors School, and Hannah Young will be attending Volunteer Girls State. Girls State alternates are, first row from left, Gabrielle Vanwormer and Morgan Young.
Boyd Christian School junior Hannah Young has been selected by the local American Legion Auxiliary Unit to attend this year’s Volunteer Girls State session. For one week, May 28 – June 3, Young will have the opportunity to join the other delegates to form and run a mock government by meeting, living and working with other young leaders. “I’m so excited to have the opportunity to actually see how government works,” said Young.
