The girls are Warren County residents and are planning to represent Tennessee at the National Miss Amazing in Chicago this summer.

Following the recent Warren County’s Miss Lovely Pageant, we all knew Junior Queen Reba Merriman and Preteen Queen Taylor Graham were amazing, but now it’s official.

They both received state titles last weekend at the Miss Amazing Tennessee event held at the Jamison Theater inside The Factory at Franklin. Merriman was crowned Tennessee Junior Miss Amazing, and Graham was named Tennessee Preteen Miss Amazing.

They participated in a private interview session with a panel of judges, and in evening gown competition. An optional talent category was available, with Graham singing “Let It Go” from the movie “Frozen.”

Merriman is the 15-year-old daughter of Jeff and Angie Merriman. Graham, 10, is the daughter of Joshua Graham and Heather Graham.

A group of local supporters were led by America’s National Teenager Lauren Mansfield. She served as a “Buddy” to 5-year-old contestant, Callie. She spent the entire day with her, entertaining, motivating and offering moral support.

“I had such a wonderful experience, being around these beautiful and strong young ladies,” said Mansfield. “It makes me want to build up our Warren County’s Miss Lovely pageant even more.

Both winners are eligible to participate in the National Miss Amazing Pageant in Chicago this August. The Miss Amazing program was launched in 2007 by 13-year-old Jordan Somer and a handful of volunteers. Today, the program is a community of over 2,000 volunteers investing in the strengths of girls and women with disabilities. Over 1,700 girls have benefited in over 30 state Miss Amazing events.

Merriman and Graham are eager to attend, and Miss Lovely committee members are making plans to help support them in their endeavors.

For anyone wishing to sponsor the girls on their journey to Chicago, an account has been set up for them at Homeland Community Bank under the Miss Lovely title.

According to Mansfield, details will be released in the near future concerning activities.
