After a long three months of feeding, watering and caring for their pigs, eight Warren County 4-H swine project members participated in the Central Region and State Market Hog Show held in Murfreesboro last month. Competition included swine skill-a-thon, showmanship classes, and market hog classes. To prepare for the event, members attended multiple skill-a-thon practices where they were taught swine breeds, parts of the animals, retail and wholesale meat cuts, equipment, feeds and health care practices.
