Lovely spring weather welcomed visitors to the Kid’s Funfest and Safety Day Festival held on the McMinnville Civic Center grounds. Even though the focus of the day was on children, it was estimated over 2,000 visitors of all ages enjoyed the festivities during a three-hour stretch. The festival is the result of a collaboration between the Children’s Advocacy Center, Families in Crisis, Hamilton Street Activity Center, Kids of the Community and the City of McMinnville, with their primary purpose for the event being to recognize and celebrate the innocence in youth.
