A clean career
Tollison not ready to hang it up after 40 years with Hale's
Mary01WEB
Forty-year employee Mary Tollison, 80, has thoroughly learned the dry cleaning and laundry process during her time with the business.
It seems Mary Tollison found her second family when she went to work for J.T. and Betty Hale in 1977 at Hale’s One Hour Martinizing Cleaners. She recently observed her 40th year with the family, currently working for the Hales' daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Gary Harrell. The business, located on Lyon Street, is now called Hale’s Dry Cleaners. The Hales purchased the cleaning business, which was located on Main Street, in the early 1960s from Clyde Campbell.
