Yorozu chairman and CEO Akihiko Shido paid a visit to McMinnville last week to join with local employees in celebrating the company’s 25th anniversary in Warren County.Shido took some time to talk about Yorozu’s beginnings and its future plans, as well as Japan’s continuing efforts to deal with the widespread destruction caused by the earthquake and tsunami that hit near the east coast of Honshu, Japan in March.“I would like to thank Warren County and the community for making it possible to have 25 years of successful business here,” Shido said. “I also offer my thanks for all the warm, kind support from the people of Warren County. We would like to give back to the community as much as we can and offer our support.”Shido said this spirit of friendship was one of his main reasons for locating in Warren County in the beginning.“It was 25 years ago I heard Nissan Automotive had moved to Tennessee and was looking for parts suppliers in the local area rather than Japan,” Shido said.
