Wrong turn lands drunk 75 days in jail

A drunk driver who took a wrong turn that landed him in McMinnville will serve 75 days in jail.The driver, Adrian Lee Johnson, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of second-offense DUI, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and driving on a revoked license. He was directed to serve 75 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $850 plus costs, perform 12 hours public service work and lose his driver license.His sentence comes after he was stopped by city police who suspected he was under the influence of an intoxicant. According to McMinnville police officer Bobby Hammond, Johnson admitted to having “three shots” of alcohol prior to being stopped.
