McMinnville Civic Center could see some improvements with the addition of sidewalks and a new wall between the outdoor tennis courts. The actual cost is unknown, but $40,000 is in the department’s budget for the work.Alderman Rick Barnes, Parks and Recreation Committee chairman, requested the cost to install sidewalks around the Civic Center to connect the existing sidewalks together. McMinnville Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord says he and McMinnville Public Works director Bill Brock, whose department will be performing the work in-house while McCord’s department will be paying the expense, have set a cost at $5,000.
