Two women face charges after they were caught allegedly smuggling cellphones into Warren County Jail. The female inmates, Brandi Bain and Jennifer Pursley, were both indicted recently, charged with introduction of contraband into a penal institution. The law is the same that governs other such items which are legal on the street but banned in many jails, including things like tobacco, lighters and alcohol.According to Sheriff Jackie Matheny, the discoveries were made around the time the two women were being placed into custody for drug court violations. Matheny said Bain was caught during a search prior to being placed into the general jail population.
