The woman who ran over former TBI agent Preston Huckeby as he was crossing the street after mailing Christmas cards last year will serve 60 days in jail for fleeing the scene of the accident.The woman, Carolyn L. Tittsworth, 45, entered guilty pleas before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of failure to report a wreck with injury, failure to render aid, failure to give notice of an accident, second-offense driving on a revoked license, and filing a false report to an officer. She was directed to serve 60 days of a two-year sentence with the balance to be served on probation once she completes her jail time. She will also be liable for any restitution if there is any to be paid.Huckeby, 77, spent extensive time under treatment after suffering serious injuries when he was struck by Tittsworth’s car in front of his home on Old Rock Island Road on the morning of Dec. 12.
