Kindergarten students in Erika Knowles’ class at West Elementary had fun while learning about outer space and the space shuttle. Knowles wanted to give her students a hands-on way of learning about the shuttle since NASA retired the shuttle missions in 2011. A friend Erika’s father, Jimmy, works with gave him the body of a miniature shuttle in which the students can play.
