Webb avoids jail for stealing $2,800
She stole from victim while he was doing her a favor

A woman who took advantage of a Good Samaritan has avoided jail time for stealing thousands of dollars from the victim.The woman, Tosha Lynn Webb, 28, will be required to pay back the $2,800 she stole from the victim as part of the best-interest plea she entered before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley. She will be on probation for two years, during which time she must complete making the restitution or face serving the time behind bars.Her sentence comes after she went to the victim’s home on Peers Street and asked him to go get medicine for her.“She said she was sick and asked me to go to Walmart and get her some medicine,” the victim told the judicial commission in swearing out the warrant against Webb. “She said she was too sick to go with me and she would lay on the couch until I returned.”The victim went to the store to get the medicine Webb requested.
