Coffee County will get to host Smyrna.

The two district rivals knocked out District 5 to make it to the sectional games.

Coffee County kept a consistent pace throughout the game scoring 2 runs in the first, fourth and sixth innings. CC was on fire at the plate getting 12 hits, but luckily WC’s defense was hot enough to keep the runs down to 6 overall.

WC made a great double play in the first with shortstop Alyssa Mosley stopping a grounder and touching second and making the play at first. First baseman Addison Smith also made an impressive play in the third where she trapped a runner heading home.

She, catcher Shelby Roberts and third baseman Jessie Young played catch with the runner looking for an escape going back and forth between third and home. As the runner slid into home, Smith tagged her to make an essential play.

Warren County had a respectable night at the plate with 6 hits, and Aleya Esparza led the girls with 2 off 3 at-bats. Madison Hollis hit a beautiful line drive to earn an RBI, and Marli McBride singled immediately after with a hard grounder to center.

Roberts scored the run off Hollis’ double, and Jazzlyn Ward advanced on McBride’s hit and gained WC's second run on an error by Coffee County.
