The denizens wandering the halls at Warren County High School are generally of the two-legged, teenage variety, but this year there will be a highly trained, four-legged assistant for school resource officers in the form of a German shepherd drug dog named Harley. The brainchild of new WCHS principal Anthony Cassell, the dog will be available to perform drug searches at any time after the School Board approved using the dog at its November meeting. “I think high school principals have several responsibilities and we’re very clear on those at Warren County High School,” Cassell said. “But my biggest responsibility is to improve the academic standing of our high school and I think we’re heading in the right direction.
