Warren County High School students who are interested in politics, global issues and foreign relations will have the opportunity to learn more about these issues by becoming members of the Model UN Club this fall.Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations. Its goal is to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy, and the United Nations agenda.Participants research a country or non-governmental organization, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.Upcoming WCHS senior Elizabeth Oxley proposed starting the Model UN Club at the high school. “My previous school had Model UN,” said Oxley.
