A man will serve half a year behind bars and could face up to nine years in prison on meth charges.The defendant, Stanton Michael Walters, 25, entered guilty pleas to the charge of initiating the process to manufacture meth. He was ordered to serve 180 days of a nine-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus court costs. His additional charges of promoting the manufacture of meth and possession of a firearm were dismissed as part of his plea bargain.His sentence comes after lawmen searched his apartment and found items commonly used to manufacture meth.
