Bill Locke won his first full term as General Sessions Judge last night, besting independent candidate Jean Brock for the second time in two years, this election even closer than the last.Locke garnered 53 percent of the vote, defeating Brock by a count of 4,265 to 3,738. Despite losing, Brock came much closer than she did her last try when she lost by 997 votes in a four-way battle. She was also able to win four districts this time after seeing Locke sweep all districts two years ago.Locke led all night, but was catapulted into a commanding lead when early voting numbers were revealed as he topped the challenger by 460 votes.With the win, Locke is elected to his first eight-year term as General Sessions/ Juvenile Court Judge.
