Vaughn named to Fisher House board

Retired Army Col. Thomas B. Vaughn of McMinnville was recently elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Fisher House Foundation, Inc., and has been appointed to spearhead fundraising efforts in Warren, DeKalb, White, Van Buren, Grundy, and Coffee counties for construction of a Fisher House on the campus of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. No-cost lodging will be offered to families of active duty and veterans who are receiving medical care at either the Murfreesboro facility, or at the Nashville VA Medical Center where free shuttle service will be provided.In announcing Vaughn’s appointment, Tennessee Fisher House Foundation president Andrea Lawrence said, “We’re honored to have Thomas join our fundraising team. He is a proven leader with a reputation for excellence.
