The contract to design the school system’s newest buildings has been officially approved, with Upland Design to collect 6 percent of the estimated $4.9 million earmarked for the three projects.“The contract has been approved,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox. “Now it’s been sent on to the County Commission for their attorney to look over and it should go before the Financial Management Committee on Nov. 17.”Upland Design of Cookeville/ Crossville won the architectural nod recently and the contract is expected to be approved by the Warren County Commission. Once that’s done, design will begin for the three major projects that will be conducted this coming year.
