Tense moments for authorities from two counties turned out to be a case of mistaken identity Monday morning after a car was stopped near Warren County Memorial Airport was found not to contain two accused shooters.“They were allowed to go on their merry way,” said Sheriff Jackie Matheny of two men who were inside the car stopped by Warren County officers on Nashville Highway near Newtown. “It all turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.”Local lawmen were alerted a Cannon County officer was behind a vehicle which matched the description of a car involved in a shooting incident in that county. No one was shot but shots were reportedly fired by a suspect who then fled in a car like the one the Cannon County unit was behind as it came into Warren County.Upon being called for assistance, Warren County deputies blocked the road near the airport and removed the two men from the vehicle.
