Warren County cancer survivors are invited to a special banquet featuring WSMV New Channel 4 reporter Terry Bulger.
The 2013 Cancer Survivor Dinner is set for Thursday, May 16, at Westwood Church of Christ’s fellowship hall. Registration starts at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by May 13. There is no charge for the banquet or dinner.
“This is something we do that’s uplifting that’s a gift to the community,” said event co-chair Jane Flatt. “Any cancer survivor and a guest are invited to attend. We are excited to get Terry Bulger as our guest speaker. He will have an inspirational message and some down-to-earth wisdom.”
The dinner is sponsored by Homeland Community Bank as a kick off to Relay for Life.
Bulger has been a Channel 4 reporter since 1990. During his career, Bulger has interviewed everyone from presidents to Michael Jordan, covered plane crashes and droughts, but most viewers remember the modest folks he meets each day along Tennessee’s back roads.
Bulger enjoys wandering Middle Tennessee in search of the great characters who make up this state. Many people say he likes to find the unusual, but in some ways what he does find isn’t always that strange – it’s just real.
Bulger’s Beat is televised during Channel 4 News at 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Breakfast with Bulger is each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning on Channel 4 News Today.
To RSVP for the dinner by Monday, May 13, contact Cindy Rogers at 507-1422 ext. 246, or by email at crogers@homelandcb.com, or Jane Flatt at 668-9537, or email at flatt@blomand.net.
