A trial date has been set for next summer for the two accused in the attack and stabbing of local businessman Mike Hale outside the VFW in August.Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley set aside three days, June 29 through July 1, as the dates for a jury trial for Jack Redmon, 44, and Brooke Hale, 33. Both are charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault for the Aug. 9 incident that happened in the parking lot of the VFW. Brooke Hale was the estranged wife of the victim and was seeing Redmon. The love triangle created tension that led to threats being leveled back and forth before the altercation.Hale is presently free on bond while Redmon remains held in lieu of $300,000 bond.
