Daylight saving time ended Nov. 1 at 2 a.m. and clocks were turned back one hour. The event brought with it less light in the evening, a possible issue for those dropping off their trash at one of the county’s smaller convenience centers.Specifically, a request has been made to County Commissioner Michael Shane Wilcher for additional lighting at convenience centers in Viola and Smartt Station. He sent the request to the county’s Health and Welfare Committee for its consideration Monday.“This time of year, we do have a little problem with the lights,” said county sanitation director Steve Hillis.
