There’s no more familiar horse breed in Middle Tennessee than the high-stepping Tennessee Walking Horse. The breed has its roots throughout Tennessee, with the undeniable capital in Shelbyville. However, the breed has many of its earliest roots right here in Warren County.The breed had its beginnings in Middle Tennessee, tracing back to the foundation stallion Allen F-1, owned by James R. Brantley of Coffee County.
