Tenn. man arrested at Ky. school where he teaches
PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Tennessee man who has taught for years in southeastern Kentucky has been charged with being drunk at school.
Math teacher Thomas A. Baker was arrested outside his classroom at Bell County High School on Tuesday morning.
Baker, who is 48, lives in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
School Superintendent George Thompson says Baker has taught in the Bell County schools for more than 20 years, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. School board policy requires Baker's suspension while the public intoxication charge is resolved.
Baker is free on bond. Records at the Bell County Detention Center don't indicate whether he has an attorney.
