The Warren County Board of Education has received 10 applications to fill the director of schools position left open by the retirement of longtime educator Dr. Jerry Hale. Dr. Hale’s retirement is effective June 30, 2012. A new director is expected to be selected this year.School Board chairman Scott Holmes said the board will be reviewing the applicants and determining the top candidates to be considered for the interview process.“The School Board is in search of a candidate that has a vision that exemplifies the highest levels of communication, professionalism, and excellence in education,” Holmes said.
