A man who threatened his mother’s boyfriend with a knife after he woke him up for work will face a year behind bars.The anger riser, Tyler Barnes, 19, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the reduced charge of domestic assault. He was directed to serve an 11-month, 29-day sentence and must enter the batterer intervention program. He also had his probation violated and must serve the balance of his sentence.
