DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) — A Dyersburg High School student has pleaded not guilty in the pedestrian injury of a teen from a rival school after a baseball game. Christopher Adam Purvis, who is 18, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident. Police say Purvis' sport utility vehicle struck 16-year-old Riley Ward on April 7 after two groups of fans exchanged words following Dyersburg High's game with Crockett County High School.
