TDOT installs pavement markers at tricky intersection

At the request of the city of McMinnville, Tennessee Department of Transportation workers installed raised pavement markers at the intersection of Morrison Street and W. Main Street to encourage motorists not to cross the solid line. “We had a Tullahoma highway marking crew do some work at the intersection at the request of the city,” said TDOT spokesperson Jennifer Flynn. “They added raised pavement markers to the solid lines on each side of the painted traffic island and around the traffic island itself.”Raised pavement markers are reflectors that do no damage to vehicles when they are hit.
