Tackett sentenced for fake prescription

A man who tried to pass a fake prescription at a local pharmacy has been sentenced to four years in prison.The forger, Thomas Joseph Tackett, 38, entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of fraudulently obtaining drugs. He was given a four-year sentence to be served in the state penitentiary and must pay $2,000 plus costs. His sentence is to be served in addition to any other time he faces on other charges.
