The McMinnville Lions Club recently handed out certificates in its 2011-12 Peace Poster contest, which is open to children who were 11-13 by Nov. 15. This year’s theme was “Children Know Peace.”According to the Lions Club website, each year’s contest consists of an original theme incorporating peace. Participants can use a variety of mediums, including charcoal, crayon, pencil and paint, to express the theme.
