While avoiding the deadly tornadoes that claimed at least 11 lives – including two in Lincoln County – Warren County did get some damage when high winds swept through Monday afternoon, perhaps even dropping a tornado.“It was just after noon when I went outside and looked to our west and saw a funnel cloud,” said 911 director Chuck Haston, who admitted he rubbed his eyes when he saw the rotating cloud descending as it traveled from west to east near the 911 Center in Newtown. “There were no warnings at the time. I couldn’t tell if it actually touched down anywhere because of the trees in the way.”Haston said the 911 Center began getting calls almost immediately after he saw the funnel cloud.
