State Sen. Eric Stewart, D-Belvidere, will be in Warren County on Thursday for two town hall meetings in Viola and McMinnville.The two local meetings are part of an 11-stop tour of the 14th Senate District which Stewart represents. He will address legislation recently passed by the General Assembly and priorities for 2012, as well as answer questions.“The main points of discussion have been things we can do to bring more jobs and try to improve the economy,” said Stewart after finishing his seventh town hall meeting yesterday morning. “The meetings we’ve had so far have been well attended with good feedback and good questions.”With state legislators making sweeping educational changes earlier this year, Stewart says education has also been a popular topic.“The majority of folks support teachers and don’t necessarily like the legislation that’s been passed,” said Stewart.
