Stewart sent to prison for sex offender violation

A man who served two months for having sex with a 13-year-old girl he met on Facebook will serve even more time after he was found in violation of the sexual offender law.The defendant, Andrew Chase Stewart, now 20, was ordered by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to serve two years in the state penitentiary for violation of the sex offender law. His sentence is to run consecutively, or in addition to, the two years he owes for his original conviction for statutory rape.His most recent sentence for violating the sex offender law came after he failed to reveal his new address as required by his agreement with the state sexual offender registry. Those on the registry must report their new residence within 48 hours of moving.
