MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Kellogg Co. plans to close less efficient production lines at its frozen waffle plant in Rossville, idling about 155 workers, but won't sacrifice output.

The Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/28QhNaC ) reports Kellogg informed state and Rossville officials the jobs will be cut between this fall and the end of next year. The West Tennessee plant will still have about 250 workers.

Rossville Mayor Judy Watters said some small businesses may be affected by the job losses but that most employees come from outside Rossville.

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development spokesman Chris Cannon said Kellogg hasn't filed an official notice of job reductions but has informed the state of plans to close some production lines.
