SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (AP) — A highway construction worker who was struck by a tanker truck carrying asphalt has died in Tennessee. Soddy-Daisy Commissioner Rick Nunley tells WRCB-TV that the worker was struck Thursday morning on a Highway 111 on-ramp. Tennessee Department of Transportation spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn says the deceased wasn't a department employee, but might be a contract worker on a paving project.
