KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The University of Tennessee is looking for the next chancellor of the Martin campus.

Bob Smith has been serving as interim chancellor since last April. He followed Tom Rakes, who decided to step down and return to teaching.

UT said a search committee led by UT Chattanooga Chancellor Steve Angle has begun meeting to discuss the search process, timeline, expectations of candidates and position requirements.

The committee includes members of the UT board of trustees and UT Martin faculty, staff, student and community leaders.

The position is expected to be filled by the end of 2016.
