MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Police say one person has been killed and two others injured in a shooting involving a Memphis city bus.

Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee said officers went to an east Memphis neighborhood where a man was seen standing in the middle of the street and firing a gun Thursday afternoon.

Brownlee says one bullet struck a city bus. A person on the bus was injured from broken glass caused by the bullet.

He said two people who were not on the bus were shot. One man was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital but died.

Another person who was shot was taken to a hospital in noncritical condition.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating.
