NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee police say a Buddhist monk has been accused of sexually assaulting a teen he had been paid to do some work at a Nashville temple. The Tennessean reports 57-year-old Sayasith Sitthipanyo was arrested Thursday and charged with seven counts of sexual battery by an authority figure. He's also charged with eight counts of displaying sex acts to a minor.
