CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in east Tennessee say a jail inmate has died following a fight.

Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman James Bradford says inmate Billy Joe Rogers died Sunday at a Chattanooga hospital, three days after he was found unresponsive in the Bradley County Jail.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press (http://bit.ly/1rac5Eq) reports Rogers had been in a fight with another inmate Thursday.

The sheriff's office says Rogers had being jailed on a charge of failing to appear in court on felony charges accusing him of allowing his dogs to run loose and maul a woman last May.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into the jail fight.
