Spring Street resurfacing began Friday. It is being paved using funds from the state. Spring Street could be complete Monday.
After waiting for several years, the city of McMinnville is finally getting to use Surface Transportation Program funds from the state to pave three streets.According to Public Works assistant director Brad Hennessee, resurfacing is under way on Spring Street, West Colville and Liberty Lane.“The last time I checked on the progress, Liberty Lane was milled and paved, West Colville Street has been milled but I don’t know if it has been paved yet, and they are milling Spring Street in preparation for paving,” Hennessee said Friday. “The plan is what isn’t finished today will be finished Monday. Then, they should be done Monday.”Back in April, officials accepted a bid from Highways Inc. for $427,844 to resurface those three streets.
