Standard Customer Appreciation Day Friday

Two days before Valentine's Day, the Southern Standard is ready to show how much we love our customers. The newspaper is holding a customer appreciation day today with free hotdogs and soft drinks given away from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition to free food, discount subscriptions will be offered all day. You can save $23.25 off the price of a one-year subscription, getting it for the ridiculously low price of just $59, which is 38 cents an issue.
Visitors to our office at 105 College Street can register for door prizes that include a giant box of Valentine's Day chocolate, a $20 gift certificate, a stuffed animal, and other assorted gifts. The door prize drawing will be held at 4 p.m.
"The Southern Standard is a great source of information about what's happening in our community," said newspaper publisher Patricia Zechman. "With the prices we're offering, the Standard is certainly affordable for anyone looking to stay on top of local news."
